March 6, 2016 The RUN is 17 out of 17 Weeks.
Waist high or better at least once a week.

We had Good waves on March 2nd and March 5th , 2016

March Coming In Like A Lion, the Mad Race for the White House, and the missing knife of OJ Simpson.

So the weathermen said we'd get a dusting to 1" on Friday.

Good thing too, because I had just put my winter boots back in the closet, and put the shovels and snowblower away in the garage. Yet, I kept looking out the window as I worked and noticed that the snow was not letting up. By the time it was all said and done, I was looking at 5-6" . I felt pretty silly. I was just talking to some close friends about the mild winter we had.

But apparently, winter was not done with us yet.

This photo above is what greeted me this morning as I started to head down to the ocean. My son Max broke this board during the Bowie Swell. I asked him if he was making a broken board cemetery in the front yard. He didn't answer.

So how about this MAD RACE for the White House? I mean really. WTF?

I have been trying to imagine how this will all end up, and none of it seems to benefit any of us. It's just a total shit show. The debates have turned into Debacles, and the candidates have gotten progressively worse. I can't help but think, all of the world leaders are looking at us, and feeling pretty damn uneasy. If this thing comes down to just TRUMP and HILLARY, we will have to choose between which loser, will hurt us less.

Good lord, this is terrible. Just terrible.

This historical scene has played out on every station, website, and newspaper. Chris Christie looking like he just realized what he had done. "Throwing his weight" behind Trump must of finally hit him like a cold Italian Pizza. Oh yea Chris you did. What did he promise you? A dozen donuts? Trump Steaks?
You know it had to be some kind of food deal. What's the old saying "A way to a man's heart, is through his stomach" Well the Donald better get cooking if he wants this man to hang around.

Then there's this woman. And look, I'm not trying to offend you Hillary
supporters but...she's facing some serious charges. And if these charges were levied against you or I? We'd be in fricken jail already. How she can keep this
persona of "everything is ok" is beyond me. It's not ok Hillary. Not even close.

As I think about these two front runners, I also have to weigh in that their spouses would end up in the big house too. Can you imagine this woman
being our "First Lady" Hello.

Think these pics would raise a few eyebrows? I'm sure a few of the world leaders would be looking forward to meeting the president's wife. Mama Mia! Finally, a poster of the first lady that would sell like hotcakes.

Every 12 year old boy would have one hanging in his bedroom. His locked bedroom. "Johnny what's going on in there?!" "Nothing Mom, I'm just putting up my new poster of the First Lady!" "Yea well don't be be touching yourself in there!" Think I'm kidding here? Yea, I am. But you know dam well, some kid is going to be bugging when and if, she is in The White House.

This shit could happen people.

This shit would not.

And of course if Hillary gets in, so will her husband. Bill Clinton back in the White House. You can't make this shit up? Bill "The Horn dog" Clinton back in the House Of Sin. What would happen if Hillary ends up going to jail?

Now there's something you can believe. Not.

We must be the laughing stock of the world. Don't forget we still have
these two clowns working the midways across America

This is my concern with Bernie. Never mind 8 years, can he live 4 years?

Then there's this joker. Have you ever seen his dad? Oh my god. Google Ted Cruz and his father. Go on do it now. I'll be here when you get back.

"Surfing and Laughing Heals All Wounds"

As I have been saying for months now. Ed would shoot everyone and anyone. He even shot me. In fact, Ed has taken more pics of me than anyone else ever did. Of course, he took most of them during my Molly Campaign. I could always count on Ed being out there.

There were times when it was only he and I on the beach. Cold and miserable Ed would be there. I never forgot that. Not once. He was a true friend, and a great photographer. This pic above was a beautiful morning in May of 2013. The only one's out were myself, and Terence and Michael Kirby.
It was a Great day in NH.

To see more of Ed's pics just scroll through the archives. He has shot so many pics for the blog. Be sure and pick up a copy of the COLD COAST and check out Ed's own gallery.

Each week I will feature one of Ed's great pics from this blog. Photo by Ed O'Connell

Now for Some More Of My Weekly Global Observances

I'm not going to lie, I have been watching the series "The People vs OJ Simpson". Though I will say, that it has been bringing back unsettling feelings in my gut.

I mean is there a single human being being on this planet, who does not believe that OJ killed both his ex-wife Nicole, and her friend Ron Goldman? Anyone? I'm talking about any sane person. A non racist person?

The most despicable verdict of all time. Letting this murderous monster get away with a double murder is unforgivable. The series did bring back the truth in the first few episodes. Clearly he killed them both. No question about it. And in my honest opinion, he should of killed himself when he had the chance.

Now some 18 years after the trial, a knife appears.

Could this be the knife that Orenthal used to kill Nicole and Ron? Maybe, maybe not. One thing's for certain, the LA police officer who had this knife should of clearly come forward before now. Ridiculous.

What the hell was the Police Officer thinking?

Oh wait a minute, he was thinking about money. Apparently
he was getting ready to sell the knife, for quite a bit more
than OJ paid for it. I swear, the world has gone crazy.

I'm sorry, I have to keep going back to this. The Internet is a dangerous place for people like me. My twisted sense of humor, is apparently shared by many just like me. I see shit like this and I just have to post it.

C'mon this is funny. Most of the stupid things he says is funny. Except that there are thousands out there,e who think he's not funny, but rather speaking for them. That's truly scary.

KSM Photoshop of the Week
Here's a pic of KSM with The Donald after KSM endorsed him recently. From David Duke to KSM the Trump shit never stops. And now he's with this guy.

As always... take advantage of this weekly photo shop of the mastermind who planned 9-11 and resulted in the deaths of 3,000 innocent civilians KSM (Khalid Sheikh Mohammed).

*Note to self must pick up a case of TRUMP Steaks at Home Depot this week.

REST IN PEACE Nancy Reagan, age 94. I have been reading KILLING RONALD REAGAN as of late and there is obviously a whole lot of Nancy in the book. She's with her "Ronnie" now.

Please Pray for two NH Icons from the Seacoast. North Beach Matriarch Jane McCarthy is needing some love and prayers. Jane is the mother of Duffy McCarthy and the whole McCarthy clan. She's been a fixture on the Wall forever. You all have seen her, you might not know her, but trust me, she has seen you all. Another local Icon could use some prayers and positive thoughts. Dorothy Bocko mother of local surfer Stan Bocko has suffered a major stroke, She is 96 years young. A WWII Vet Dorothy served in the British Naval Intelligence in London, Washington DC, and Norfolk VA. Please keep them both in your prayers. And please continue to pray for local Hampton surfers Terry Morrison and Rick Fiorentini and their families. Also please pray for Marine SSGT George Masten. A combat Marine who served in Korea and Vietnam. He was awarded the purple heart for wounds received in Vietnam in 1967. George is battling cancer. PLEASE say a prayer for him.

Please Support ALL The photographers who contribute to Ralph's Pic Of The Week every week for the last 9 years. **Think about BUYING a HIGH RES Photo from any of the weeks on RPOTW.

Don't forget to go back and read the whole DAILY BLOG on
My CATCH A WAVE FOR MOLLY. (Click On the Banner below
on this page.) Started on July 26, 2010 ENDED July 26, 2011.
A Wave a day for 365 consecutive days.
Yesterday- On March 2nd, 2016 This man would of turned 66
if he was still with us. Joe Somogyi "Ghost Town" 1974.

(Below) But he's not. He passed away in 1978. Agent Orange got him. The war in Vietnam eventually killed him. 8 years after he left. The image below is a video frame grab from my old Super 8mm films. Joe is skating at a place we called "Ghost Town" . I discovered Ghost Town while driving along Rte 1 in Portsmouth. As I passed the old Grossman's, I noticed a paved wave. I drove in and went out back, and there it was. A long paved wave. Well, we all hit it that same day. Brooms and shovels. The music blasting out of my old Dodge Van.

These days we thought, would never end. This moment in time, frozen for all to see was part of our culture. We were, surfers, skateboarders, and snowboarders. And we pioneered some pretty cool breaks, skate zones, and snowboard runs. We were all young once. Happy Birthday Joe.
We all still miss you.

(Above) I was calling this guy "Aqua Man". When I first spotted him out in the line-up, my immediate thought was "I hope this guy can surf, because if he can't, there's no telling what I'd write here." Turns out he could. He pigdogged his way through some meaty grinders out there. He got the Ralph approval.
A few weeks ago, there was a... oh what's the word for it?
Oh yea, "Kook" wearing a similar suit. But clearly that guy, could not surf. Just seemed odd to have two people show up around here, wearing Aqua suits. One could surf,
and one could not. I guess the lesson here is, don't judge a surfer by the color
of his wetsuit. March 5th, 2016

FEBRUARY TWENTY SIXTEEN from Ralph's Pic Of The Week on Vimeo.

It's no secret that New England was gifted with a week of perfect surf from the 17th of February to the 21st. In the year 2016. It got to the point where we all were ridiculously giddy. Warm air temps, sunny blue skies, amazing sun rises and sunsets, and a bevy of local talent to motivate me to edit this Three For One Trilogy. So it's three songs. And the surfing is pretty dam good. But more importantly, the waves were the real stars of this edit. *The last song is local rocker, surfer, dad JA singing over the Stone Temple Pilots track. JA sounds great and the clip works well with it. The surfers that I can remember are: Weston Rogers, Max Fatello, Kody Grondin, Kyle Linseman, Casey Lockwood, Matt Colby, Mike Stanek, Perry Reynolds, Britt Swartley, Ryan Jackson, Chris Stelman, Carter Walsh, and a whole bunch more. February 17th, 18th,19th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd won't be forgotten for some time. Hope March is just as good. As you were.

Ralph

This is a condensed version of the last video I posted (February 17-18-19-20-2016). It's the same footage that I shot, but this time my son Max did the whole edit. And he picked the song Kaleida "Think". So this is our first collaboration together. You know, like "Ralph & Son." Nah, that's too hokey. I think just a "Fatello -Fatello" production. Or "Ralph & Max". Anyway, we'll figure something out. Meanwhile check this clip out.
